Event & Business Development Coordinator (Part-Time Casual)

DASCH Productions is seeking a results-driven Event & Business Development Coordinator to support the execution of corporate, cultural, and special events while actively contributing to the growth of the business through sponsorship development, client acquisition, and bid opportunity management.
This is a part-time casual role ideal for someone who thrives in both event execution and relationship-building, while also being highly proactive in identifying growth opportunities for the company.

The Opportunity
This is not a traditional coordinator role.

Key Responsibilities
Event Execution
- Support event planning, logistics, and coordination
- Execute onsite operations including setup, run-of-show, and teardown
- Liaise with vendors, venues, sponsors, and stakeholders
- Support guest experience and registration management
- Represent DASCH Productions onsite at events, activations, trade shows, and exhibitions
Sponsorship, Networking & Partnerships
- Identify, outreach, and secure event sponsors
- Develop and pitch partnership opportunities
- Maintain sponsor relationships and ensure fulfillment of deliverables
- Attend networking events, industry functions, trade shows, exhibitions, and business development opportunities on behalf of DASCH Productions
- Build and maintain meaningful professional relationships that support company growth and visibility
Business Development
- Source and cultivate new client opportunities
- Support proposal development and client presentations
- Convert leads into signed event contracts
- Monitor, manage, and apply to open event bids and procurement opportunities across Canada
- Create and maintain profiles on bidding, procurement, and vendor opportunity platforms
- Research event-related RFPs, RFQs, and procurement opportunities nationwide
Administrative Support
- CRM and database management
- Scheduling and project coordination support
- Team meeting participation
- Additional administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in event coordination (corporate, cultural, weddings, or non-profit events preferred)
- Demonstrated success in:
- Sponsorship development and/or partnerships
- Business development or client acquisition
- Strong organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work independently and proactively
- Professional client-facing presence
- Comfortable attending networking events and representing the company publicly
- Experience with proposals, procurement platforms, or bid management is considered a strong asset
- Ability to travel within Alberta and occasionally across Canada as required
Compensation
- $25/hour for approved event support, administrative duties, meetings, and operational work
- 10% commission on confirmed sponsorship revenue secured
- 20% commission on new business contracts originated and secured
Commission is paid on signed contracts and received deposits.
