Property Leasing Agent / Business Development Specialist

As a Property Leasing Agent and Business Development Specialist, you will be responsible for showing and leasing residential properties, building relationships with property owners, and expanding our portfolio of managed properties. This is a dynamic, client-focused role that blends leasing responsibilities with business development to grow our portfolio and increase revenue.

Key Responsibilities:

Property Leasing:

  • Conduct property showings to prospective tenants, answering all questions regarding the property and its features.
  • Maintain current knowledge of market trends, rental rates, and competitor offerings to advise prospective tenants and property owners.

Business Development & Portfolio Expansion:

  • Actively prospect and develop relationships with property owners, investors, and developers to secure new property management agreements.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to add new properties to the managed portfolio through various channels (e.g., networking, cold calls, real estate events, and industry connections).
  • Market and promote property management services to potential clients.
  • Conduct property assessments and provide recommendations to property owners for potential improvements, pricing, and leasing strategies.
  • Negotiate management contracts and ensure they align with company goals.

Client & Tenant Relations:

  • Provide excellent customer service to both tenants and property owners.
  • Respond promptly to client and tenant inquiries
  • Foster long-term relationships with tenants and property owners to encourage lease renewals and continued business partnerships.

Administrative Support:

  • Maintain accurate records in our company technology platforms
  • Prepare and submit reports regarding leasing performance, property marketing, and portfolio growth.
  • Assist with property marketing strategies, including online listings, promotional materials, and advertising.

Experience:

  • Experience in the property management or real estate industry.

Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients, tenants, and property owners.
  • Ability to negotiate lease terms and contracts effectively.
  • Excellent time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of local real estate markets, trends, and rental rates.
  • Proficiency in technology (Google Workspace, CRM, property management software)

Education:

  • Real Estate License in the province of Saskatchewan or willingness/ability to complete within 12 months of joining the team.
