The WHL is looking for a dynamic, energetic and passionate Manager, Broadcast & Digital Products to join the WHL Communications department to oversee the successful delivery of WHL Digital Platforms, including WHL Livestreaming services through the revolutionary Victory+.
As the world of digital technology and consumer content consumption continues to evolve at an ever-increasing rate, the WHL strives to be on the cutting edge of engaging audience. The WHL Manager, Broadcast & Digital Products will play a critical role in the success of the WHL's relationship with Victory+, including working with WHL Clubs on reaching enhanced production standards, maintaining quality streaming productions, signal delivery to the Victory+ platform, ad operations, viewership analysis and reporting, and customer relationship management (CRM).
In addition to key priorities pertaining to WHL Livestreaming services through Victory+, the WHL Manager, Broadcast & Digital Products will be tasked with supporting the enhancement of other WHL Digital Platforms, including but not limited to the WHL / CHL App and the WHL / CHL Web Network.
Established in 1966, the WHL is regarded as the world's finest development league for junior hockey players. The WHL has produced some of hockey's all-time greats, including Joe Sakic (Swift Current Broncos), Jarome Iginla (Kamloops Blazers), Carey Price (Tri-City Americans) and Ryan Getzlaf (Calgary Hitmen), among many others. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work alongside WHL Director, Public Relations & Brand Communications to develop and guide strategy for WHL Digital Platforms
- Lead execution of WHL Digital Platforms, including but not limited to WHL on Victory+, WHL App, WHL Web Network
- Contribute to long-term strategic planning of WHL Digital Platforms, ensuring alignment with league-wide objectives, fan engagement goals, and revenue generation opportunities.
- Proactively identify areas of improvement or innovation for WHL Livestreaming productions
- Collaborate with Victory+ to ensure success of WHL Livestreaming product
- Liaise with Victory+ Broadcast Operations during live events, as necessary
- Support WHL Clubs on meeting WHL Livestreaming production standards
- Support WHL Clubs on enhancing shoulder content opportunities within live events programming
- Collaborate with WHL Commercial Team to identify and integrate sponsorship and revenue opportunities within WHL Digital Platforms.
- Collaborate with the Canadian Hockey League (CHL) on enhancing the WHL / CHL App
- Collaborate with the CHL on enhancing the WHL / CHL Web Network
- Manage timelines, budgets, and cross-functional projects related to digital initiatives, ensuring delivery on schedule and within scope.
- Develop and deliver regular performance reports on digital platforms, providing actionable insights to improve fan engagement, production quality, and commercial outcomes.
- Provide guidance, training and resources to WHL Clubs to help elevate digital production quality and fan experience.
- Stay current with emerging digital technologies, platforms, and best practices, and recommend innovations that enhance the WHL's digital presence.
- Work collaboratively with WHL Marketing, Commercial, and Hockey Operations departments to ensure consistent integration of digital initiatives across all WHL platforms.
- Support WHL Vice President, Commercial Strategy & Brand, and WHL Director, Public Relations & Brand Communications, as required

Experience:
- Degree or Diploma in Communications, Digital Media, New Media, or other related focus
- Experience in sports livestreaming production
- Experience working with digital platforms such as mobile applications, OTT platforms, Wordpress
- Demonstrated ability to apply business knowledge and hockey knowledge
