About S4-6:

S4-6 is a regional partnership of municipalities, Indigenous nations, and community organizations in central Saskatchewan. We are seeking a proactive, self-directed professional to support our marketing, communications, outreach, administrative, and event coordination efforts. Position Summary:

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Community Engagement and Marketing Coordinator will play a key role in promoting S4-6 initiatives, maintaining strong engagement with communities and partners, and ensuring smooth administrative and event processes. The ideal candidate is experienced, self-directed, and able to manage multiple responsibilities with professionalism, creativity, and strategic insight. Other duties may be assigned as required to support the mission of S4-6.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Marketing, Communications & Outreach

  • Develop draft communication and marketing content, including designs and materials
  • Manage S4-6 brand across all channels, ensuring consistent and ethical messaging
  • Maintain regular updates to members, communities, and partners
  • Manage social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter (X) and other channels
  • Produce and update marketing materials, such as brochures, posters, event promotion tools, and website content
  • Expand community profiles into a "livability campaign" aligned with board and community expectations
  • Advertise events and support outreach and engagement initiatives

2. Surveys & Market Research

  • Design, distribute, and follow up on surveys for communities, developers, and partners
  • Conduct market research and produce reports
  • Compile, track, and report KPIs accurately

3. Administrative Support

  • Track and follow up on action items from committee and board meetings
  • Prepare and circulate meeting notes, speaking notes, and materials in the correct format
  • Produce additional reports or notes as needed
  • Schedule meetings and support office administration duties
  • Provide bookkeeping support, including data entry, maintaining financial records, and processing invoices

4. Event Coordination

  • Support event logistics, including scheduling, coordinating spaces, and catering
  • Assist with media coordination, recording, note-taking, and photography
  • Support events as needed, which may occasionally require evening or weekend availability

Other Duties:

  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the Executive Director and the organization's goals

Qualifications:

  • Degree or Diploma in Marketing, Communications, Business, Public Policy, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • 3-5 years of related experience in marketing, communications, community engagement, or administrative roles, demonstrating progressively increasing responsibility.

Skills:

  • Proven experience in marketing and communications, including website content management or updates and social media management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven experience in website content management, social media management, and use of design tools
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
  • Ability to work under high pressure and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills and relationship-building ability
  • Experience in survey design, data management, and reporting
  • Event coordination experience is preferred
  • Knowledge of ethical and professional communication standards
