About Us

At The NOW Group, we sell things money can't buy. Ideas. Causes. Change.

For over 30 years, we've been working with non-profits, unions, and progressive leaders to create award-winning integrated campaigns. A full-service agency, our team makes a big impact with our clients, working across Canada in social marketing, advertising, communications and electoral campaigns.

We specialize in powerful, people-first storytelling across all platforms, from social and digital content to print to out-of-home and broadcast.

We're looking for an Art Director with sharp design instincts, concept-driven thinking, and a collaborative approach to join our team.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the visual development of integrated campaigns - from concept to execution - across digital, print, out-of-home, and broadcast
  • Guide and inspire the creative team of designers, freelancers, and production partners through the creative process
  • Collaborate with strategy and creative teams to help shape campaign direction
  • Work closely with copywriters, designers and production teams to develop ideas that speak to the target audience
  • Oversee the quality and consistency of all creative output
  • Work on projects for national clients in the labour, non-profit, and public sectors
  • Stay ahead of trends in design, advertising, and culture - and bring fresh thinking to every brief
  • Present work internally and to clients with clarity, confidence, and care

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years experience in an agency or in-house creative team
  • A portfolio that demonstrates high-level conceptual thinking and cross-platform campaigns
  • Strong visual storytelling skills and ability to translate ideas to suppliers, designers and production partners to ensure beautiful, effective executions
  • Deep understanding of branding, typography, and layout across multiple media
  • Experience working on broadcast, print, digital, and social campaigns
  • Strong leadership, communication, and presentation skills
  • Passion for progressive issues and public-good work
  • Familiarity with working with union, non-profit, or government clients is a strong asset
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Figma a bonus)

Why NOW?

  • A creative team that values purpose as much as polish
  • Flexible hybrid work environment
  • Competitive salary with benefits
  • Opportunities to work on high-profile national campaigns that drive real change
  • A collaborative and supportive culture
