As part of its ambitious growth strategy, Northleaf is also developing specific private markets products and investment solutions for insurance and wealth management clients.

Reporting to the Vice President, Human Resources, the HR Coordinator will be a key member of the HR Team, focused on creating a positive, engaging, and inclusive workplace culture. The HR Coordinator will be involved in all aspects of Northleaf's HR planning and administration, including delivering on a broad range of HR initiatives across talent acquisition, employee engagement, and learning and development. This role supports the employee journey from recruitment through onboarding and beyond, ensuring that every interaction reflects the organization's values and commitment to employee engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

Talent Acquisition & Onboarding

  • Assist in drafting job descriptions and posting roles on LinkedIn, company website and other relevant job boards.
  • Manage the applicant tracking system, screen resumes, and coordinate interview scheduling.
  • Act as the point of contact for candidates during the recruitment process; ensuring a positive candidate experience.
  • Support HR team members in preparing offer documents and packages.
  • Transition new hires to HR onboarding lead; ensuring a smooth handoff, including information gathering and understanding of internal onboarding processes.

Employee Engagement & Culture

  • Coordinate and support initiatives that enhance employee engagement, recognition, and well-being.
  • Assist in planning and executing culture-building activities.
  • Monitor employee feedback channels and help implement improvements.
  • Planning, organizing and executing various HR sponsored events (e.g., feedback sessions, Town Hall, Lunch and Learns, etc.)

Learning & Development

  • Provide ad hoc support to the HR team on learning and development initiatives.
  • Coordinate logistics for sessions, workshops, and employee development programs.
  • Leverage platforms like Culture Amp and BambooHR to support learning and development.

HR RFP & Policy Support

  • Act as point of contact for the IR team on HR-related RFP items.
  • Consolidate information and reporting in collaboration with the HR team.
  • Proactively review HR policies for consistency, branding, and functionality

Ad-hoc Projects

  • Support HR innovation projects, including AI tools for HR.
  • Incorporate current HR trends and research into daily practices to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Assist with contractor reviews and other special initiatives.

Experience and Capabilities:

  • 1-2 years of relevant HR experience or similar.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Interest in a career in HR and knowledge of HR principles, concepts, practices and standards.
  • Self-starter with strong drive, accountability, and ability to work independently.
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a passion for creating positive workplace experiences.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills: ability to prioritize and manage tasks to completion within required timeframes.
  • Ability to take initiative, research and complete assigned tasks.
  • Proactively identifies and implements solutions to enhance current processes.
  • Ability to foster effective working relationships at all levels internally and with external partners.
  • Demonstrated good judgment, professionalism, confidentiality and discretion.
  • Comfortable using technology and HR platforms.
