Job Title: Pallet Sales Representative- Experienced

Location: Prairie Regions of Canada (Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba)

JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a results-driven Pallet Salesperson based in the Prairie Regions of Canada (Alberta, Saskatchewan, or Manitoba) to join our team. The primary responsibility is to sell pallets and related products to businesses, with a focus on managing and growing National accounts across Canada. We strongly prefer candidates with direct experience in pallet sales to excel in this dynamic role. Location is flexible, but it is preferred that the candidate lives in Alberta and has the ability to visit the plant and customers frequently.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prospect and secure new clients in industries such as manufacturing, logistics, warehousing, and retail, with an emphasis on regional and National accounts in Canada
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients to drive repeat business.
  • Assess client needs and recommend appropriate pallet types and specifications tailored to their operations.
  • Prepare quotes, negotiate pricing, and close sales deals to meet client and company objectives.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to ensure timely delivery and high customer satisfaction across regions.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments in Canada and the USA to identify sales opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline updates in the CRM system.
  • Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets and KPIs for both regional and National accounts.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven experience in pallet sales or closely related industries (e.g., packaging or industrial products) is strongly preferred.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with experience managing National or cross-border accounts.
  • Ability to understand and communicate technical product specifications to diverse clients.
  • Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset and ability to work independently from a home office or on the road.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel frequently within the Prairie Regions and occasionally to the USA for client meetings.
  • High school diploma required; bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is a plus.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • In-depth knowledge of pallet types, materials, and industry standards (e.g., ISPM-15 regulations for cross-border trade).
  • Established network within supply chain or logistics sectors in Canada and/or the USA.
  • Experience navigating cross-border sales logistics and regulations.
  • Ability to analyze market data and develop strategies for National account growth.

  • Competitive base salary plus commission, no limits on commission.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Home office-based in the Prairie Regions (Alberta, Saskatchewan, or Manitoba) with regular client visits across Canada and occasional travel to the USA.
  • May require attendance at trade shows or industry events in both countries.
