The Opportunity

We're looking for a Technical Writer who is ready to make an impact. In this role, you'll create clear, concise, and accurate documentation, including Statements of Work (SOWs), Requests for Proposal (RFP) responses, user guides, and internal reports. You'll work closely with technical and business teams to translate complex concepts into content that is consistent, professional, and easy to understand.

This is a hybrid role based out of our Calgary headquarters, with some in-office presence required.

What You'll Do

As a key member of our CSR team, you will:

  • Develop, edit, and maintain technical documentation including manuals, guides, SOWs, and RFP responses.
  • Proofread and refine reports created by technical teams for clarity, accuracy, and presentation.
  • Collaborate with Service Delivery, Sales, Marketing, and Engineering teams to gather and validate information.
  • Ensure all documentation aligns with iON standards, branding, and industry best practices.
  • Maintain a content library and implement version control for consistency and accessibility.
  • Continuously update materials based on product enhancements, feedback, and compliance requirements.

What You Bring

We're looking for someone who is driven, curious, and cares about doing great work. Ideally, you have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Communications, English, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of technical writing experience (IT, software, or engineering environment preferred).
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to translate complex technical content into clear, user-friendly materials.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with tools such as MadCap Flare, Confluence, or similar.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience with contracts or proposal writing (considered an asset)
