ABOUT THE ROLE

We are a specialist digital marketing agency that works exclusively with childcare centers, nurseries, and early years education providers across the United States and the United Kingdom. We are hiring a Marketing Strategist to develop and drive marketing strategies for a portfolio of childcare clients, ensuring every provider we work with sees measurable enrollment growth backed by smart, well-executed campaigns.

This is a strategy-led role with real operational weight behind it. You will be the strategic mind behind your clients' marketing, translating their business goals into actionable plans and coordinating a team of specialists to bring those plans to life. You need to be equal parts strategic thinker, client advisor, and project driver, someone who can spot an opportunity before anyone else, build a plan around it, and keep campaigns running smoothly across paid ads, content, web, and lead generation.

WHAT YOU WILL OWN

MARKETING STRATEGY AND PLANNING

Own the strategic direction for each client in your portfolio. Translate business objectives into clear, prioritized marketing plans built around seasonal demand patterns, term-time enrollment cycles, and local market conditions. Identify the right channel mix, messaging approach, and timing to deliver enquiries when they matter most. Brief the internal team with clarity so work is delivered right the first time.

CLIENT PARTNERSHIP

Serve as the strategic partner for your clients, building trust through deep understanding of their childcare center, including capacity, enrollment goals, fee structure, location dynamics, and competitive landscape. Lead client calls with authority, set expectations clearly, and provide the kind of proactive guidance that makes clients feel confident their marketing is in expert hands.

CAMPAIGN COORDINATION AND DELIVERY

Coordinate work across paid media, creative, copywriting, SEO, web development, and strategy. Keep projects on track, manage scope, prevent last-minute chaos, and ensure the team has what they need to do great work. You protect delivery quality by planning ahead and managing expectations on both sides.

PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS AND OPTIMIZATION

Track campaign performance and deliver insights that are accurate, meaningful, and actionable. Go beyond the numbers to identify trends, diagnose underperformance, and make clear strategic recommendations. Manage paid media budgets to ensure spend aligns with lead targets and enrollment capacity. Continuously refine strategies based on what the data is telling you.

PROBLEM IDENTIFICATION AND RESOLUTION

Spot issues early, whether that is low lead quality, slow enquiry follow-up from the client, weak conversion rates, or capacity constraints that change the marketing strategy. Raise problems with solutions, not just flags. Help clients understand what they need to do on their end to get the most from our work.

RETENTION, GROWTH, AND COMMERCIAL AWARENESS

Drive client retention through strong strategic outcomes and consistent results. Identify genuine upsell and cross-sell opportunities where additional services would benefit the client. Work closely with leadership on renewals, account growth strategies, and maintaining healthy margins across your portfolio.

MULTI-MARKET STRATEGY

Develop strategies for clients across both the US and UK markets, understanding the nuances of childcare marketing in each region - from terminology and regulatory differences to parent expectations and competitive dynamics. Adjust your strategic approach and campaign recommendations to fit local context.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

3+ years of experience in a strategic marketing role within a digital marketing agency. Strong understanding of digital marketing channels including paid advertising, SEO, content marketing, email, and web development, and how to combine them into effective multi-channel strategies. Confident communication skills with the ability to lead calls, present strategic recommendations, and hold both clients and internal teams accountable. Experience managing strategy across 15+ client accounts simultaneously while maintaining quality and responsiveness. Proven ability to translate business goals into marketing plans that deliver measurable results. Commercial awareness including understanding of margins, renewals, and growth opportunities. Strong writing skills for strategic briefs, reporting, and client-facing communication. Experience working across time zones, ideally with both US and UK clients.

NICE TO HAVE

Experience in the childcare, education, or local services industry. Hands-on experience with paid advertising platforms such as Google Ads and Meta Ads Manager. Experience with CRM and marketing automation tools such as HubSpot, ActiveCampaign, or Go High Level. Understanding of lead generation funnels and enquiry handling processes. Background in nursery occupancy, waiting list management, or parent decision-making cycles.
