Administrative Assistant/Receptionist

Mikkelsen Coward and Nor-Tec Group are looking for an office administration clerk to provide support to staff and be the first point of contact for our guests and clients. Some of your responsibilities will include managing the reception desk, handling phone calls and inquiries, ordering supplies, and assisting the finance department.

Nor-Tec Group is a full-service electrical contractor servicing Manitoba and Winnipeg for 40 years. Our experience ranges from Institutional, Industrial and Municipal projects.

Responsibilities and Qualifications of the position include :

  • 1-2 years experience in an administrative role.
  • Completion of a Business Administration Program from a Post-secondary institution.
  • Demonstrated working ability to use Microsoft Office programs such as Word, excel, etc.
  • Performs administrative duties which include but are not limited to reception, answering phones, records management, filing, scanning. printing, data entry, ordering office supplies, receiving and recording invoices, binding and photocopying.
  • Provide confidential administrative support including the preparation of correspondence and manual and electronic file maintenance.
  • Communicating and answering various inquires with the public by telephone and in person. This includes greeting guests and customers at reception.
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • A positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated organization and problem-solving skills.
  • Takes initiative and has the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Assets of the position would include:

  • Knowledge of the construction industry is an asset.
  • Knowledge of Jonas Enterprise and Premier is an asset.

A combination of skills, experience and education are considered. We offer a compensation package that includes a competitive salary, and benefits. Compensation will be based off of the candidates, skills, experience and education.
